Join us for a Jane’s Walk on May 6!

Jane’s Walk is a festival of free neighbourhood walking tours that help put people in touch with their city, the things that happen around them, the built environment, the natural environment, and especially with each other. The walks are given by local people who care passionately about where they live, work, and play. 

The Imagining a Better South Keys Centre walk will look at what it takes to turn a big-box plaza into a vibrant, mixed-use community, and why community involvement is essential to its success. Join Matt and Laura from Better South Keys Centre for a guided walk of South Keys Shopping Centre, where we’ll discuss themes of affordable housing, active transportation, transit service, interesting architecture, and preserving natural elements.

When: Saturday, May 6 from 10:00-11:00 am

Starting location: Outside of Greenboro Transit Station at the North end of South Keys Centre

End location: South Keys Transit Station at the South end of South Keys Centre

Distance: Approximately 2 km

Accessibility: The walk follows paved sidewalks with curb ramps

What to wear: Dress for the weather and to be outside, walking comfortably at a slow pace, for one hour
